Polyarthra cf minor Voigt, 1904
Polyarthra cf minor; dorsal view; focal plane on the red eyespot, which serves as reference for the plane of the dorsal bundles of fins which inserted asymmetrically at the trunk. P. minor is a smal species (see scale bar): specimens are < 100µm. (1)

Polyarthra cf minor; same specimen, focal plane on the ventral bundles of fins. In contrast to rotifers of the species complex: P. dolichoptera/ P. vulgaris the rotifers of P. minor/ P. remata do not have two ventral finlets) (1)

Polyarthra cf minor; same specimen, while try to "jump"/ escape under the cover slide it becomes evident that the left dorsal fins are longer than the right ones.

Polyarthra cf minor; left image: P. minor is the only known species of this genus where the lateral antennae are located close to the median line of the trunk (arrowheads). Right: semi-macerated specimen (by SDS); the arrowheads point to the opening of the lateral antennae in the lorica.

Polyarthra cf minor; another specien with amictic egg (embryo ready to hatch).

Polyarthra cf minor; virgate trophi which are different from the holotype decription: manubria with triangular outer lamella; no serrations on inner side of the rami, but two dents
